Calculate Your College Savings

How Our College Savings Calculator Works

Our College Savings Calculator helps you plan for your child’s education by estimating future savings in Indian Rupees (₹). It uses compound interest to project growth, factoring in your current savings, annual contributions, and expected returns, with a pie chart to visualize the savings breakdown.

Calculation Logic

The calculator uses the formula FV = P (1 + r)^n + PMT × [((1 + r)^n - 1) / r], where P is current savings (e.g., ₹1,00,000), r is the annual return rate (e.g., 10%), n is years (e.g., 10), and PMT is the annual contribution (e.g., ₹50,000). Total contributions are initial savings plus annual contributions times years. Interest earned is future value minus total contributions. Results are formatted in INR (e.g., ₹12,34,567), and the pie chart shows initial savings, contributions, and interest.

Steps to Use

Enter your current savings (e.g., ₹1,00,000).
Input your annual contribution (e.g., ₹50,000).
Specify the expected annual return rate (e.g., 10%).
Enter the years until college (e.g., 10 years).
Click "Calculate" to view future value, contributions, interest, and pie chart.
